Frequently asked questions

What does this program offer?

We offer a faith-based dual language curriculum that is meaningful to the youngest learners with a focus on spiritual and linguistic development.

Concretely, what happens in a class?

After scheduling a class on our platform, you will be able to start the class and learn at your own pace. You will be given access to prerecorded lessons with learning materials that you can download at the end of class. There are 10 lessons in each class. During the class, we encourage you to interact with the materials and the teacher. There will be a short assessment at the end of each lesson. Towards the end of class, the teacher will recap the lessons and ensure each child has understood the lessons.

*During the class, you'll have the opportunity to interact with a live person every Monday.

Does JLE Dual Language GEMS have a learning app?

We are an online dual language curriculum. However, we do have an accompanying course-sharing Dual Lang App available.

What does JLE stand for?

JLE stands for Jesus Loves Everybody, and originated from the Jesus Loves Everybody children's book series by Dr. Nicole Benoit-Roy.

What is the difference between bilingual and dual language?

Bilingual education refers to the use of both background
and another language to teach academic content.

Dual language education involves instruction in two languages for all students, regardless of their language background.

What software and hardware do I need?

Preparing to learn with us is simple. You need three things:
- A stable internet connection
- A computer
- The free video Zoom conferencing tool for our scheduled (3rd Wed of every month) FREE instructional coaching sessions for parents and/or school teachers.

How long will it take the child to improve his/her language skills?

It depends. As is the case when learning any new skill, your progress depends on your efforts. If you would like to learn quickly, then we suggest that you make language learning a consistent habit. Also, focus and participate in class and complete the downloadable materials at the end of each lesson and class for the best results. It also depends on which of the JLE Dual Language GEMS online courses you choose, as some of our courses are offered in bundles.

We offer 5 different course packages
3-course bundles
2-course bundles
2-Language courses
1-Language courses
